Please send digital graphic files at no less than 300dpi at actual print size.  We can accept PDF, JPG, TIFF and EPS files plus Photoshop (PDS) and Illustrator files (AI).  Dependent on the file format, layered files are desirable (one layer with the artwork, the other with the template).

Sending files in this way generally avoids any supplementary artwork charges.  But if we do need still carry out any additional work you will be advised before any costs are incurred.  (Our artwork charges are very reasonable, usually no more than £20 + vat on average).

Files can be sent via many of the popular free online file transmission services such as WeTransfer or MailBigFile but we tend to not recommend Dropbox as it can be confusing.

However we are also more than happy to receive artwork not submitted in our templates – our designers are only too happy to assist by sizing and positioning your design. 

We are also pleased to receive hard-copy artwork such as sketches, paintings etc. as we can scan them here in our large format scanner.

When will the new CE regulations for oven gloves come in to force:-

On the 21st April 2019 it will become illegal for any manufacturer to supply oven gloves without the CE markings as these products are now being classified as Personal Protective Equipment. 

The good news is any product manufactured, supplied and invoiced before the 21^st April 2019 can continue to legally be sold under the old British Standard BS 6526:1998.  So none of our customers are going to be left with existing stock they are unable to sell.

Does Countryside Art’s oven glove range conform to the new CE regulations:-

Our existing BS standard double oven gloves, single oven mitts, gauntlets and pot holders have all passed the rigorous testing required for the new CE regulations and we are now able to display our Declarations of Conformity on our website to confirm this.

Will Countryside Art be able to assist with filling in the Extension Form plus designing and printing the customer-specific CE sew-in labels and swing tickets:-
We will assist in any way we can with filling in the Extension Form plus the SATRA team are very helpful too.

With regards to the CE sew-in labels; we can adapt these to each customer’s requirements for a very minimal charge. We can then provide the finished artwork for the customer to send to the label printer of their choice.

We can also adapt the swing tickets (again for a minimal charge) and can print them in-house at our standard swing ticket prices. Or supply the finished artwork if you prefer to have them printed elsewhere.

However we must strongly advise the label and swing ticket layouts must be identical in every way to the ones displayed here, other than the change of company logo and address.

As a customer will we be covered to sell oven gloves in Europe and other countries around the world after Britain leaves the EU:-
Our notified body SATRA Technology Centre 0321 is registered in Ireland so it will continue to be legal to sell our oven glove range in Europe and the rest of the world.
