Here at Countryside Art we are very excited about 2020 because we are well on the way to completing our new factory extension.
The new building will house our expanded Sewing Unit plus our Quality Control & Despatch department. Once both these areas are set up we will be using the area of the factory, where they were sited, to greatly expand the digital printing side of the company.
The demand for our products has grown hugely year on year. Our ability to expand our production capacity has been constrained over the last couple of years by a lack of space so we can’t wait to have the room to fit in more equipment, storage etc.
The photos don’t really demonstrate how large the new unit is inside. It’s rather like our existing factory where visiting customers invariably exclaim ‘It’s like the Tardis, it looks massive inside compared to the outside!’
The incredibly wet weather this winter has slowed down the project a little but we are still hoping to be ready to move in shortly.
So roll on Spring and some sunshine! In the coming months, in order to try to help the birds, animals and insects already found around the factory in the nearby fields, we are also planning to plant hundreds of trees plus an area of meadow flowers on the spare land around the new extension – more on this later.
In the meantime we’d really like to thank everyone for all their custom and support last year.
We are very much looking forward to further developing old relationships and establishing new ones.
Our aim is to make 2020 a really positive year for all our customers.
