Printed cushions are such a wonderful way to transform a room and they make a visual statement quite unlike anything else in our homes.
We only started producing cushion covers in 2014 but they are already proving to be one of our most in demand and re-ordered products. So we are proud to have already made a name for ourselves as top quality cushion manufacturers in the UK.
There is so much potential when it comes to pillowcase and cushion printing, offering you and your customers the chance to stand out from the crowd with your home furnishings. So if you are interested in cushion or pillow cover printing, read on to find out more about this service.

Following the growing demand, we have thoughtfully added to our existing range of fabrics and bespoke sewing options:-
In addition to bleached and unbleached cotton drills and panamas, we’ve now included cotton/linen blends and fine calicos in bleached and unbleached finishes, bleached cotton sateen plus dyed cotton drills and panamas.
You can also order whatever size and shape of cushion you want (up to 60cm square) plus fabrics which can be mixed-and-matched on the fronts and reverses, as well as printing on both sides.
We always use concealed zips; offering white, beige and black as standard. We can also order in different coloured zips for larger orders.
We have a wide range of coloured piping already in stock and we can obtain bespoke colours for large runs. We can also sew in piping supplied by the customer.
Our in-house sewing unit can also sew your own labels in to the side seams or on to the actual cushion itself.
Cushions are one of the most bespoke products we produce so please feel free to discuss your ideas with us and we will aim to turn them in to a best seller.
To further enhance your brand we can also produce your packaging in-house, at a very competitive price, with swing tickets being the usual option for cushions and wrap-arounds for pillow cases.

Cotton Poplin Pillow Cases
Our cotton poplin pillow cases are also very popular. They are suitable for both screen and digital pillow printing and can be printed both sides.
They are a product that work well sold as a set of two and look attractive packaged in this way with a wrap.
Types of Printing On Offer
We offer various types of printing including all-over, edge-to-edge screen printed cushions in up to 10 spot colours, full colour process (in which we are acknowledged, prize-winning industry leaders), combined full colour process and spot colour, plus a wide range of metallic options including glitters.
We are unusual in that we also offer a discharge print option on to dyed fabrics. This uses a specialist water-based ink where the colour of the fabric is bleached out and replaced by the colour/s of the ink. The print feels very smooth (there is no plastic or raised feel) and the print durability is excellent. Plus we use opaque inks which are good for certain types of image where discharge is not suitable.

In addition we have a full digital printing service; this is great for designs with more than 10 spot colours and for small full colour runs or short runs in general. All-over, edge-to-edge printing is available for all our digital textile products too.

Fabrics
All our fabrics are carefully sourced, woven and finished (mainly in Turkey) to our own specifications. This enables us to have complete control over the quality, colour-yield and provenance of the fabrics we offer.
Here are descriptions and images of our range of fabrics suitable for cushions and pillow cases.
8oz Bleached Cotton Drill and 8oz Unbleached Cotton Drill
(220gsm/sq mtr approx) – Available in a bleached non-optic very pale cream finish plus an unbleached natural oat-meal finish with flecks of cotton seed – these cotton drills are mid-weight fabrics which offer durability but also have a soft feel.
8oz Organic Unbleached Cotton Drill
(220gsm/sq mtr approx) – An organic unbleached, natural oat-meal finish with flecks of cotton. For customers wanting to go down the green route this is the fabric for you. As well as being durable it also has a very smooth soft, silky feel.
8oz Black Cotton Drill
(220gsm/sq mtr approx) – A reactive, vat-dyed fabric suitable for discharge, opaque, metallic printing and embroidery.
280gsm Black Panama
(280gsm/sq mtr approx) – A reactive, vat-dyed fabric suitable for discharge, opaque, metallic printing and embroidery. The discharge print option uses a specialist water-based ink where the colour of the fabric is bleached out and replaced by the colour of the ink. The print feels very smooth, there is no plastic or raised feel as with other inks plus print durability is excellent. Opaque inks are useful for certain types of image where discharge is not suitable plus we offer a wide range of different metallics including glitters if you are after a bit of bling on your design.
280gsm Unbleached Organic Panama
(280gsm/sq mtr approx) – A heavier-weight, unbleached organic, natural oat-meal finish with flecks of cotton seeds. This fabric has a chunky weave so is not suitable for very fine designs but its raw appearance is very attractive where a natural look is required (available for larger orders only).
280gsm & 220gsm Dyed Panamas Plus 8oz Dyed Cotton Drills
For larger quantities we can source a wide range of dyed panamas and cotton drills which make great plain cushion reverses. Please ask for more details if interested.
Bleached Calico
(195gsm/sq mtr approx.) – Available in a bleached non-optic very pale cream finish and a natural oatmeal finish with flecks of cotton seeds. These are both very fine, soft fabrics which are excellent for printing very intricate designs.
Unbleached Calico
(195gsm/sq mtr approx.) – Available in a bleached non-optic very pale cream finish and a natural oatmeal finish with flecks of cotton seeds. These are both very fine, soft fabrics which are excellent for printing very intricate designs.
Bleached Cotton Twill Sateen
(167gsm/sq mtr approx.) – A 100% cotton available in a non-optic very pale cream finish. This fabric has a very smooth surface with a slight sheen. Suitable for some types of screen print and digital printing.
Bleached Leenane
(228gsm/sq mtr approx.) – This characterful, slubbed cotton-linen blend is available in a bleached non-optic very pale cream finish plus a natural oatmeal finish with flecks of cotton seeds. A very popular choice for cushions, this fabric offers great wearability plus a beautiful look and feel.
Unbleached Leenane
(228gsm/sq mtr approx.) – This characterful, slubbed cotton-linen blend is available in a bleached non-optic very pale cream finish plus a natural oatmeal finish with flecks of cotton seeds. A very popular choice for cushions, this fabric offers great wearability plus a beautiful look and feel.
Cotton Poplin
(130gsm/sq mtr approx.) – A very smooth, silky cotton poplin available in a non-optic very pale cream finish.
Pre-treated Fabrics For Digital Printing
Whilst our digital prints on our untreated fabrics are already bright and colourful – if you are after more vibrant reds and blues plus very strong blacks then we offer pre-treated 280gsm bleached panama, pre-treated bleached and unbleached Leenane and pre-treated cotton twill sateen (for an additional charge).

Bespoke Sewing Options
One of the strengths of Countryside Art is we have a very large, well-equipped sewing unit so we can offer all types of bespoke add-ons in the manufacturing of your cushions.
These options are as follows:-
Different sizes and shapes of cushions
We can quote for any size and shape of cushion up to 60cm square so if you have any unusual ideas please just ask.
Different Thread Colours – with hundreds of thread colours in stock we can match to any print.
Wash Labels – we can use our own standard labels or are happy to include our customer’s own wash labels.
Customer’s Own Logo Label
We are happy to sew our customer’s own logo labels in to the cushions and pillow cases. Popular positions include in the outside side seams or inside the product.
Cushion Fillers
We have limited warehouse space so we cannot hold stocks of different sizes of fillers, due to their very bulky nature.
We are able to offer to supply and fill cushions for orders of 500+ of the same size – please ask for details.
However for smaller quantities we are happy to put you in touch with our supplier of fillers (with whom we have an excellent relationship) and can vouch for the quality of their products and service.
Zips
All our zips are now concealed. We offer black, white and beige as standard colours but for larger orders of 500+ we can source zips in alternative colours. Plus we can sew in your own zips (if suitable) – please ask for details.
Piping
We have a wide stock range of coloured piping, allowing us to add piping to all cushions including minimums of 25+. We are also happy to sew in your own supplied piping (if suitable). Let us know if you would like more information on this option.

Piping Colours
We stock a wide variety of piping colours which we have depicted here. But because it is not possible to accurately represent colours on screen we are happy to send out actual swatches of piping in the post prior to ordering your cushions.
We can also sew in piping supplied by the customer but please let us check the specification and send us a sample first so we can check its suitability.

Bespoke Packaging Options
To further enhance presentation and promote your brand we can add the following packaging – all printed digitally in-house at very competitive prices:-
Bulk Packed – many customers go for bulk packing for cushions and pillow cases.
Individually Bagged – if you need to keep your stock protected when on display we offer individual bagging in clear polypropylene bags.
Inserts
Printed one side as standard (although double sided are also available) on 160gsm heavy-weight paper these are suitable for adding into individually poly bagged products.
We are also happy to use packaging supplied by the customer
Wraps
These are printed on a heavy-weight 200gsm paper with which we wrap the pillow cases as singles or pairs. They can then be supplied bulk packed or can also be individually poly-bagged.
Swing Tickets
Printed either single or double sided on 280gsm shiny or matt card these are ideal for attaching where the items are out on display without any other form of packaging
Not only can we print your swing tickets but we can also attach them with all sorts of interesting things. A nylon loop is the usual option but we can also use ribbons plus strings such as jute and sisal for something different.
Barcodes
More and more retailers are calling for stock to be barcoded. We have the facilities to create any type of barcode and can either print them on to the swing tickets, inserts etc or we can print them on to peelable self-adhesive labels. We can also attach barcode labels provided by the customer.
